David Brazelton is at the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council’s (USHBC) “Blueberry Summit” and today chaired in the USHBC’s Health Research & Nutrition Committee meeting. Brittany Parvi caught up with Dave for a brief interview about the exciting blueberry health research being done.
Did you know that there are more than $40 million in health research studies going on with blueberries in which the USHBC is directly funding or in which the industry is providing blueberry products? Two major current studies are being funded by the Alzheimer’s Association and the National Institute of Health (NIH) that are looking at small diet changes that include blueberries and how that impacts overall health and cognition.
