POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for the development and successful execution of the sales strategy for selected key customers in Morocco This position requires a high degree of independent professional judgment in problem solving, researching solutions, and decision making.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL FIT:

This position reports to the Commercial Manager EMEA and collaborates with other managers and departments in the Company. The Key Account Manager has frequent interactions with customers, visitors and guests of Fall Creek.

 

JOB SETTING:

Office setting. Domestic and international travel required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Other duties may be assigned)          

  1. Collaborates with the Commercial Manager EMEA for the development and successful execution of the commercial sales strategy for specific strategic accounts (key accounts).

  2. Manages the key accounts: anticipates needs and delivers solutions. Communicates directly with key accounts on a regular basis. Provides a high level of customer service to all commercial customers. Relation management is key; A satisfied customer is the outcome.

  3. Executes sales activities with results measured against the sales plan and is accountable for achieving sales goals.

  4. Responsible for forecasting sales for assigned key accounts.

  5. Collaborates with business development and new products on new opportunities for expanding Fall Creek business at the assigned Key accounts.

  6. Provides input and recommendations for new products and varieties and contributes to their commercialization and acceptance in the assigned regional markets and with key customers.

  7. Gathers information on competitors, customers, and trends and makes recommendations to management to take advantage of market opportunities.

  8. Bilingual language skills in French, english & spanish. The ability to speak, read, and write in these languages. 

  9. Creates and maintains detailed contact records for each customer and prospect inquiry (via Salesforce).

  10. Facilitates communication, information sharing and collaboration among team members.

  11. Collaborates with the marketing team on planning and execution of advertising and marketing plans in covered region.

  12. Coordinates with the Grower & Product support team to provide support to customers.

  13. Collaborates with the sales team on scheduling and managing visits to the nursery from existing and prospective customers. Plans and implements educational seminars for customers as needed.

  14. Represents Fall Creek to visitors and guests and attends tradeshows, events, customer meetings, and other venues to assist with presenting and promoting Fall Creek products.

  15. Supports, perpetuates and enhances Fall Creek’s core values and corporate culture.

  16. Assures the highest level of confidentiality on sensitive matters concerning the nursery.

  17. Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company values, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
     

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING

  1. Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company values, and a commitment to personal and professional development.

  2. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Horticulture or related field.

  3. Requires 5+ years of related key account sales experience or sales management experience preferably in an agricultural business.

  4. Experience with market analysis, logistics, pricing, budgeting and program management.

  5. Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must have the skills to create reports, spreadsheets and presentations, create formulas and be able to utilize complex spreadsheets.

  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in formal and informal settings to peers, customers and industry leaders.

  7. Able to understand complex business and political relationships.

  8. Must be results driven and customer focused.

  9. Performs a wide variety of complicated tasks where a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

  10. Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; excellent time management, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  11. Ability to collaborate with other team members and maintain a positive attitude. Must be able to exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority. Requires the ability to positively influence team decision making.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Specific experience in blueberries or similar horticultural crop.

  2. Technical expertise in soil fertility, water chemistry and irrigation management, plant disease mechanisms, crop protection products and their on-farm use, or other basic agronomic practices are a pro.

  3. Desiderable Arabic language speaker fluenty.

  4. Previous experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP.

  5. Prior experience with Sales force or similar CRM
