At Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc.™, we are proud to be the world’s leading wholesale blueberry plant nursery. We specialize in propagating and growing Vaccinium plant varieties including Vaccinium corymbosum (Northern Highbush, Southern Highbush and Half High Blueberries), Vaccinium angustifolium (Wild Lowbush Blueberry) and Vaccinium ovatum (Evergreen Huckleberry). Since 1978 we have been serving the blueberry plant needs of commercial fruit growers, nursery stock growers and garden centers throughout the world.
Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc.™ is owned by David and Barbara Brazelton and Gregg and Becky Vollstedt, each of whom plays an active role in the management of Fall Creek Farm & Nursery Inc.™ We have an exceptional staff which includes a domestic and international sales and customer support team, researchers, propagators, plant health experts and many other talented individuals. We are proud of the long tenure of so many employees and always strive to create a positive, collaborative work environment.
Our nursery and growing operation is comprised of more than eighty acres including offices, processing buildings, greenhouses, container yards, growing beds and producing fields. Our long growing season and cold but mild winters enable us to grow blueberry varieties for most growing zones. Our plants are propagated on-site from virus and phytoplasma-indexed mother stock. We utilize three methods of propagation including tissue culture, hardwood, and softwood cuttings. The plants are grown in clean soil-free media in containers of many sizes, or in beds for bare root sales. Cleanliness, organization and a steadfast commitment to quality are the keys to producing superior nursery stock. We take this responsibility seriously, whether our plants are going up the road or to the other side of the world.
Research and development play a crucial role in providing you the blueberry bushes needed to gain a competitive edge in today’s marketplace. We are constantly searching for improved varieties by working closely with plant breeders around the world and evaluating new selections in our test blocks. Our nursery is known for its innovations in nursery production systems as well. We all remain committed to continually search for ways to improve our products and our services to you.
